How does FindARoom work?

FindARoom helps students discover hostels and room options, compare details, save favorites, and contact listers or room seekers when there is a good match.

Do I need an account before I can browse listings?

No. You can explore public hostel and seeker pages first. You only need an account when you want to message, save items, create a seeker profile, or manage listings.

How do I contact a hostel or room seeker?

Open the listing or profile and use the available contact or messaging option. Some features may require sign-in or phone verification to protect users from spam and abuse.

Why is phone or ID verification important?

Verification helps improve trust on the platform. Verified accounts are easier for other users to trust, and some actions may depend on verification before they become public.

Can I delete my seeker profile without deleting my account?

Yes. Your seeker profile and your account are separate. You can remove just the seeker profile from your profile settings while keeping your main account.

How long does support usually take to reply?

Support requests are usually reviewed within 24 to 48 hours. For the fastest help, include a clear description of the issue and the phone number or email we should use to reach you.

What should I do if a listing looks inaccurate or suspicious?

Use the in-app reporting or support options as soon as possible. Include screenshots or specific details if you have them so the team can review the case faster.

Can I fully delete my account and data?

Yes. You can go to your profile page and use the delete account option to remove your account and associated profile data. If you only want to remove your room-seeker profile, that option is also available separately from the same page.
